This Pinterest video downloader saves video Pins in up to 1080p. Pinterest streams video in small chunks, so the Pinterest video download is assembled into one ready-to-play MP4 on our server. Paste a pin link or a pin.it short link above.
Video Pins in full quality
Pinterest stores video Pins as HLS streams: the video is split into small pieces and listed in a playlist file, so the app can switch quality while you scroll. There is no single MP4 sitting on the server. When you press a button here, our server reads the playlist, fetches the pieces in order and writes them into one ordinary MP4 file while it streams to you. The pieces are copied, not re-encoded.
For the sample pins we tested, Pinterest kept versions from 240p up to 1080p, so you normally get:
- Download HD: the 1080p version (or the highest one the pin has).
- Download: about 480p, which is plenty for a phone screen.
- Download MP3: the audio track, if the pin has sound.

Links that work
- A pin page:
pinterest.com/pin/664281013778109217/ - Country domains:
in.pinterest.com/pin/…,pinterest.co.uk/pin/…and the other Pinterest domains - Short links from the app:

Board and profile links contain many pins, so they will not work. Open one pin first.
Copying a pin link
In the Pinterest app, open the pin, tap the Share icon (or the three dots) and choose Copy link. On desktop, open the pin and copy the address bar.
A note on reposted videos
Many video pins are re-uploads of TikTok or Instagram clips. If you know where the video came from, downloading it from the original post often gives better quality and keeps the creator credited.
Download Pinterest videos in three steps
- In the Pinterest app open the video Pin, tap Share › Copy link (you get a
pin.itlink). - Paste it into this Pinterest video downloader.
- Tap Download HD to save Pinterest video Pins in up to 1080p.
On iPhone, open Files › Downloads afterwards and use Share › Save Video. On a PC, open the Pin and copy the address bar.
Pinterest MP4, not pieces
Pinterest streams video as many small HLS segments, which is why some tools save only a few seconds. This Pinterest video downloader fetches all the segments of the quality you choose and joins them into a single Pinterest MP4 without re-encoding. You can also save the audio as MP3.
What people save with a Pinterest downloader
Recipes to follow in the kitchen, crochet and craft tutorials, hairstyles, workouts and home decor ideas. A downloaded video plays without buffering and you can pause and rewind as often as you need. Teachers also download Pinterest videos to show in class without relying on school Wi-Fi.
Image Pins have no video, so the Pinterest downloader will tell you nothing was found; use your browser’s Save image for those. No login is needed and nothing is stored on our server.
Frequently asked questions
Do pin.it short links work?
Yes. pin.it is Pinterest's short-link domain and is followed to the full pin automatically.
Can I download image pins?
This tool only saves video and audio. For a still image, long-press it in the Pinterest app and choose Download image.
Why is the Pinterest download slower to start?
Pinterest streams video in short chunks (HLS). The server stitches the chunks into one MP4 as it sends it, so the first second takes a little longer.
Does it work with Idea Pins?
Idea Pins that are a single video work. Multi-page Idea Pins return the first video page.
Can I save Pinterest video Pins to my gallery?
Yes. The Pinterest video downloader joins Pinterest's HLS segments into one MP4, which goes straight to your phone's Downloads and gallery.
Do pin.it links work in the Pinterest video downloader?
Yes. Short pin.it links from the Pinterest app are followed to the full Pin automatically.
